An Exciting Announcement & Chance to Win Partner Merch!

We are excited to announce that we are collaborating with Forever Cairn, who make “handmade jewelry and apparel with an eco-conscious mind.” All of their products are locally sourced and every purchase means a tree planted!

At Her Odyssey, we are all about connecting  with and supporting women in pursuit of their own audacious dreams.  Across the miles and years, we have had the honor to connect with artists, writers, small businesses, scientists, and so many others. Each one has contributed to our undertaking in many creative ways and Tricia of Forever Cairn is no exception. So, take a moment and go check out their site as you look for awesome Mother’s Day gifts!

Or, better yet, enter the drawing to win beautiful Forever Cairn merchandise (shown below), and help us spread the message of empowered and active women. Be sure to use the “Share this post on Facebook” link (from within the drawing) every day to get another entry!

A quick introduction from Tricia:

My Story

My name is Tricia and I am a lucky mom to 3 pint size hikers and wife to an amazingly supportive husband.  We choose to channel our best energy outdoors and can be seen or heard wandering through many of the parks that Pennsylvania has to offer.  We also enjoying adventuring into the NPS with our most recent visit to Acadia in Maine.

We have always dreamt of owning a business that had a direct give back.  For us, it made every bit of sense to do something that benefits our environment.   Something that we, along with our customers, can really wrap our arms around.  That is when we came up with Forever Cairn.  For EVERY item sold,  a TREE is planted.  It is that simple!  We have an incredible Reforestation Partner that makes this initiative a reality for us!  It is my hope that we can make a huge positive impact for ALL of our wanderers and the future of their children.  So, item by item, and tree by tree, we are doing it! In less than 2 years we have planted over 2,600 trees.

We are beyond excited to be able to collaborate with the awesome women and support team of Her Odyssey!  We believe in the mission and admire their spirit!

To all the mothers and nurturers; recognized, over To all the mothers and nurturers; recognized, overlooked, and missed,
🌲 HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY💐

#findingthemothertree

". . . we know Mother Trees can truly nurture their offspring. Douglas firs, it turns out, recognize their kin and distinguish them from other families and different species. They communicate and send carbon, the building block of life, not just to the mycorrhizas of their kin but to other members of the community. To help keep it whole. They appear to relate to their offspring as do mothers passing their best recipes to their daughters. Conveying their life energy, their wisdom, to carry life forward."

-From the book 'Finding the Mother Tree: Discovering the Wisdom of the Forest'

I will always treasure hiking into Machu Picchu with my mom in 2017. 💚
